Location: Camas, WA
Connection to Four Diamonds: Chris Millard was my brother.
Years of Involvement: Over the last seven years or so I’ve been a member of the Four Diamonds Advisory Board representing the Millard Family.
How are/were you involved with Four Diamonds and THON?
Aside from contributing, I come along with my Dad to THON every year. He hasn’t missed one and I have been to most of them over the last 10 years. We also came to the Mini-THON Leadership Summit in August in Hershey.
Why is the partnership between Four Diamonds and THON important?
As my Dad has said many times at the press conferences, THON has breathed life into Four Diamonds. And the impact goes even beyond what Four Diamonds is doing for families…the impact on the students participating in THON is shaping a powerful, service-oriented next generation.
What is your favorite memory?
I am always humbled and hopeful when I see all those college students giving of themselves for others…so selflessly and full of passion and having a darn good time doing it.
What is your dream for Four Diamonds and THON over the next 40 years?
My dream is that neither of them will need to exist sooner than later. If they do need to exist, that their partnership continues and that the model continues to grow and become something not exclusive to just PA, but has a broader footprint and impact on others as well.
