There are several ways students and staff at schools and universities can get involved in Four Diamonds’ fundraising programs for childhood cancer.

School and University Donation Options

Schools and universities can donate to support our childhood cancer treatment and research through:

  • Online donations: Through our safe, protected website, you can use your credit card to donate online.
  • Recurring gifts: Set up convenient recurring monthly or annual gifts through our safe, protected website, using your credit card.
  • By phone: Call Four Diamonds at 717-531-6086 or the Office of Development and Alumni Relations at 717-531-8497 to donate by phone.
  • By mail: Checks can be mailed to Four Diamonds, P.O. Box 852, Hershey, PA 17033.
  • Bequests and planned gifts: With the option of donating now or after your lifetime, families can choose bequests or planned gifts that align with their financial or estate plans.
  • Stocks, bonds and mutual funds: Families also have the option of donating appreciated securities like stocks, bonds and mutual funds.

Four Diamonds Mini-THON®

Mini-THON® enables K-12 students to join the fight against childhood cancer. Since the program started in 1993, Mini-THONs have helped raise money for medical care and research while bringing hope to childhood cancer patients and their families.

Through this year-long school fundraiser, students work to get their school and local community involved in their philanthropy efforts. At the end of the year, there is a multi-hour event that includes fun activities from games to dancing.

In addition to raising funds, students will learn valuable skills they can apply to their personal interactions and future professional lives, like problem-solving, teamwork, critical thinking and communication skills.

To host your own Mini-THON at your school, all you have to do is follow three simple steps:

Get Involved

Team FTK®

Team FTK® unites colleges and universities to help conquer childhood cancer. Student leaders can create a school community that works together to raise funds and spread awareness for childhood cancer patients and their families. Getting involved in Team FTK® is easy. To start:

  1. Come up with an idea.
  2. Create a fundraising page.
  3. Start raising funds to conquer childhood cancer.

Your fundraising options are truly endless. Think about your interests and passions and then start planning some ideas, like:

  • Endurance challenges like walking or swimming; 
  • Personal milestones where you raise funds and awareness on a special day, like a birthday, graduation or wedding; or

Play For The Kids™

Join Play For The Kids™ now through September—Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. This program makes it easy for entire schools to fundraise for childhood cancer care and research. College and University students can engage in fun activities to help conquer childhood cancer.

Some ways you can do this include:

  • Choose an activity and then get your students to move their bodies every day in September. Then, share your progress on social media, asking for donations from your school community. 
  • Indulge in your favorite foods by hosting an event like an ice cream social or an eating challenge to raise donations.
  • Host a fun day, movie night or silly challenge where your guests have to raise a certain amount to attend.
  • Come up with your own unique idea to fundraise for childhood cancer.
